holding pet loss book

Hi, I'm Paige.

And this is the book I created in dedication to my soul-kitty Squiggles.

I wrote It’s All The Same Forest as a poem (and yes, it rhymes!) back when I was carrying a lot of anticipatory grief about one day having to say goodbye to my soulmate cat, Squiggles.

Years later, after she passed, the poem took on a deeper meaning. In the thick of my grief, I decided to illustrate it myself, by looking at photos of her and letting emotion guide each image. A year and a half later, I had a finished book.

Making it was how I got through the first year without her. It’s my story, and an invitation to create something inspired by the love you have for your pet.

What's Inside?

  • An original illustrated poem — written and hand-drawn by me, start to finish
  • A guided exercise to write your own poem, for your own pet — because one of the best ways to heal is by creating something from the heart
  • A hardcover keepsake with holographic foil detailing, made to last
  • Not AI-generated — every word and brushstroke came from the heart

What readers have to say

It’s All The Same Forest was brought to life on Kickstarter by 134 backers who funded it to 235% of its goal, and it was a Kickstarter “Project We Love” staff pick.
